APC Mai Mala Buni Led Caretaker Committee's Tenure Extended

The tenure of the caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress has been extended till June 2021.

The extension of the tenure of the committee is part of the decision taken at the virtual national executive committee of the All Progressives Congress held at the presidential villa Abuja with governors and others joining virtually.

It was learnt that the extension of Buni-led committee was part of the five resolutions unanimously reached at the NEC meeting of the ruling party and disclosed to State House Correspondents by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state and some leaders of the party.

The APC NEC in the meeting also approved the expulsion of Hilliard Eta, former national vice-chairman of the party in the south-south, over his failure to withdraw a court case instituted against the caretaker committee led by Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe state.

The NEC also dissolved all the organs of the party from ward, State and Zonal executives with only caretaker national committee the only organ not affected by the dissolution.
