The above named organization uses this medium to applaud His Excellency ENGR. Oluseyi Makinde the Executive Governor of Oyo State for a wonderful job done in seeing to one of the major problem facing one of our citadel of learning, LAUTECH. This particular problem has been foundational to several crises that befell the institution in times past, which in so many cases and instances has brought a lot of setback and retardation to the institution.

His Excellency clearly stated during his campaign before emergence that he will see to the substantivity of the school and he has proven to be committed to his words as he has worked tirelessly in  fulfilling the promise even in time.

It's of our great pleasure to see that the award we conferred on you during our International Students Day Summit of being the MOST STUDENT FRIENDLY GOVERNOR is well deserving by you.

Meanwhile, as Olivertwist that we are, as students who are willing to seize this opportunity of having a student friendly Governance to the betterment of the entire student populace in the State, we won't cease in asking for more. It's therefore pertinent to work together in making requests that will continue to spur this administration as a record breaking and making administration; we would therefore that the Governor attend to some immediate needs of the students populace too such as Educational support like scholarships and aids to students.

Since the last eight years the generality of Oyo State Students have not received bursary not to talk of scholarships to aid their curriculum activities. Moreso, the COVID-19 has had a very fatal effect on most students and their families, which poses threats to quality education. We hereby use this opportunity to seek support from the State Governor by providing incentives, bursaries, scholarships, and infrastructures to schools in the State to make education and life generally easy for students and their parents to promote quality education.

If the Governor can in his good will and kindheartedness do this, it will go a long way in keeping over 50% of the entirety of Oyo State students back and stable in school, thus bettering their lives and grooming them not just as beneficiary of good governance but as testifiers and doers of same.

The Association is as well seeking for more period of tete a tete with the Governor to discuss more opportunities and possible way forward amongst the student populace and we will be so glad to have you welcome us soon.

Signed:

Com. Oluwafunmibi Mayowa, OPAKUNLE.
