Nigerian students parliament(NSP) elects her pioneer national speaker(photos)

On Tuesday, 11th February, 2020 at the National Assembly, Reps wing, House services conference room 2.01, the nominees of the Nigerian students Parliament (NSP) were inaugurated. 




After the inauguration, the NSP members elected Rt.Hon. Mubarak Aliyu Rimi of Katsina south senatorial district as National Speaker of NSP and Rt.Hon. Nwachukwu Christian from Imo state as the national deputy speaker of NSP.


The inauguration which was witnessed and monitored by some members of the young parliamentarians forum of the national assembly, Members of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Some national presidents of various state students Unions and associations, a team  from the of the Sergeant at arms of national assembly and well recorded by gentlemen of the press was a huge success as against the plans of elements who couldn't make it to Being members of NSP after the screening exercise for various degrees of academic issues and deficiencies, disapproval of nomination letters from their senators and house of reps members.



While giving his vote of thanks, the newly elected speaker, Rt.Hon. Mubarak Aliyu Rimi thanked Nigerian student Parliamentarians drawn across the 109 senatorial districts of the federation for finding him fit to lead them. Mubarak further thanked the Leadership of the young parliamentarian Forum,National Assembly, Abuja led by Hon.Tukura Kabiru of Kebbi state, his colleague member of the federal house of representatives; Hon.Dr. Balarabe Shehu Kakale of sokoto state and the BOT chairman of NSP; Hon. Samuel Godstime Chukwubuikem who doubles as the national speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) for their role in nurturing and supporting NSP.


The BOT chairman of NSP, Rt.Hon. Samuel Godstime Chukwubuikem while addressing newsmen and the press room of the National Assembly notified the public that election for other principal office positions will be conducted at the first sitting of the parliament within the month.

Hon. Godstime, further wished the newly elected leadership of the Nigerian students Parliament (NSP) to work  in synergy with the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) and other student bodies in Nigeria and in diaspora in order to better the lots of Nigerian students.
